| Updated the GibStats with the latest logfiles I recorded. Don´t expect too much. Maybe due to my player-merging/deleting (you remember, some people absolutely have to add a carriage-return to their name for kewlness) larger and larger problems appear. Either because of that or because of reconnecting or lag some games that were FULL now appear deserted in the GibStats. I just don´t know what do do about this besides completely restarting everything from scratch and hope people will keep their names "compatible". Unfortunately dedicated server logs, actually a good idea, do not work with TeamFortress. I tried it locally with a dedicated WinQuake server, logged on and suicided several times. Everything the logfile contained were the initialisation messages of Quake. Another possibility would be to fire up a dummy client, that sits in Quake 24 h a day and just collects logfiles. Of course we would lose a player slot. Not a good option IMO. Hopefully someone compiles a good working QuakeWorld client for the Amigas, since the dedicated QuakeWorld server logs work fine with GibStats. Again: The current GibStats contain holes the size of a small country. If you know why, please tell me (no, I don´t delete players that become too good). We also will have a new map on Uplink soon. It is called "Millennium Bases" and can be downloaded in the maps-section or here. I haven´t found it on my favorite WalnutCreek mirrors, so I mirrored it myself. I consider it a fun map, although some will complain about its size again, just as those people did with 2FortSE. Possible problems might occur due to the fact that this map has been designed for TeamFortress 2.9 (!). No, don´t go downloading it, TF2.9 is QuakeWorld only. |
